A Family Story, Not a Corporate One
Sushrut Ayurved Industries began in 1990 at Krishma Farm, Dharwad, where the Banvi family cultivated and supplied medicinal herbs to some of India's leading Ayurvedic manufacturers.
Watching diabetes affect his own family, founder Late Shri Girish Banvi spent years studying traditional formulations before creating an 11-ingredient blend in 2004 - publicly launched the following year by Dr B M Hegde, the Padma Vibhushan-awarded physician and author.

Sugar Knocker is formulated with plant-based extracts traditionally used in Ayurveda, selected for their established history of traditional use and supported by available scientific research.
While the ingredients have Ayurvedic roots, Sugar Knocker is formulated and marketed as a dietary supplement/nutraceutical, not as an Ayurvedic medicine. Therefore, it follows the applicable FSSAI regulatory framework for its product category rather than the AYUSH drug-licensing framework.
